Information Tulum – Akumal – 4 Cenotes

Start your day exploring Tulum without crowds — a truly magical experience, especially with our knowledgeable guides who make the visit enjoyable and enriching. You’ll have a 1-hour guided tour and 30 minutes of free time to admire landmarks like El Castillo, famous for its light and shadow effects during the equinox, and the Temple of the Frescoes, where original red pigments are still visible.

Next, visit four cenotes — two open and two closed — to discover the different types of these crystal-clear freshwater pools. It’s the perfect way to cool off after the ruins, with about two hours to enjoy this natural wonder.

Then we head to Akumal, meaning “place of turtles” in Mayan. This natural sanctuary is home to free-roaming sea turtles. On Akumal’s beautiful beach, you’ll go snorkeling with a guide and may spot manta rays and colorful tropical fish. No advanced swimming skills are needed, and the experience is suitable for all ages.

A must-do adventure with Mayan Riviera Tours!
