Ek Balam

The day concludes with a visit to this city, built slightly after Chichen Itzá. Here you can admire unique architectural styles that reflect the high social status of its ancient inhabitants. Ek Balam features a traditional Maya ball court, where winning meant the honor of being sacrificed to the gods.
