Information Swim with the Whale-Shark

At Mayan Riviera Tours, we don’t want you to miss the chance to swim with the whale shark, accompanied by expert guides who are passionate about these magnificent creatures. Our guides will also provide you with all the information you need to understand and fully enjoy this natural wonder.

We’ll start the day early when our drivers pick you up from your hotel, heading to Puerto Juárez. Our whale shark swimming tour begins at 8:00 a.m., when we’ll board a fully equipped boat and set off into open waters. We provide everything you need for the experience: full snorkel gear, sandwiches, breakfast, water, and soft drinks.

After about 50 minutes by speedboat, we’ll reach the whale shark area. Once there, you’ll snorkel with whale sharks and manta rays for approximately 3 hours. Our guides will be with you at all times, providing information to ensure you enjoy the experience without disturbing these gentle giants.
